Professional Profile
Like many, I started as a self-taught family researcher, working on my own extended family. As my research interests grew, I began taking genealogy-based training programs, with the goal of becoming a more effective researcher. I completed the Genealogical Research Program at Boston University, and have taken 3 additional courses on Irish research from the Genealogy Research Institute of Pittsburgh (GRIP).
I am a volunteer researcher at a local Family Research Center, and I teach a monthly program at our central library. Additionally, I am a member of several genealogical organizations, including groups that focus on the research of Irish-American ancestors.
While my primary interest area is in Irish-American research, much of my research and client work is focused on working with everyday family researchers.
I look forward to hearing from you!
